Breakfast, keynotes, panel discussions, workshops, fireside chats focused on equity, empowerment and allyship in tech. From product to culture to education to advocacy – learn new solutions, meet diverse people who care, be stretched in a safe environment, and gain new tools and strength to advocate for change. End the day with networking and h’ors d’oevres to unwind and connect with good people.
At this year’s Tech Inclusion 2019 Conference in San Francisco, Karan Mehra will share how the growing dialogue around allyship inspired him to start a grassroots initiative at Bloomberg. He and like-minded colleagues, united by an agenda to spread awareness, created informative content and socialized it among their colleagues. They incorporated statistics to call attention to the importance of allyship. They used personal stories to connect with their colleagues. They engaged the in-house expertise of researchers like Rachana Bhide. Incorporating lessons learned along the way, they drove meaningful change across Bloomberg’s Engineering organization. Karan will share his experience to inspire others to lead their own grassroots organizational change.
