Attendees joined us on Thursday, May 5 at 5:30 PM EST for a conversation with Chamath Palihapitiya, Founder of Social+Capital Partnership, a broad-ranging investment organization.
Chamath’s technology investments extend across a wide variety of industries, including healthcare, education, and financial services. Based in Palo Alto, California, Social+Capital is one of the fastest growing venture funds in Silicon Valley history.
Prior to Social+Capital, Palihapitiya was a senior member of Facebook’s management team and served in various roles at the company, including vice president of user growth, mobile and international. Prior to Facebook, Chamath had leading operational roles at AOL, where he ran Instant Messenger, and at Winamp, a digital music pioneer. Chamath is part of the group of technology investors that own the NBA’s Golden State Warriors.
